De La Rue Dispenser Error Codes (Merlin I and II)

Error          Description

20                    Good Operation - No error conditions.

21                    Feed Failure - Failure to pick notes from cassette.        

22                    Mistracked Note at Feed Sensor - Document at feed sensor with a document still at double detect.      

23                    Mistracked Note at Double Detect - Document arrived at double detect sensor without being seen by the feed sensor.  

24                    Mistracked Note at Exit Sensor - Document arrived at exit sensor without being seen by other sensors.

25                    Note Too Long at Exit Sensor - Exit sensor blocked for longer than allowed for current documents.      

26                    Blocked Exit Sensor - Exit sensor covered at start of dispense or restart of dispense.  Only purge command will operate.  Documents may leave the exit during the purge.         

27                    Too Many Notes - More documents than requested have passed the exit.           

2A                   Timing Wheel - Transport has stalled. 

2C                   Band Roller Profile - Noise is seen on the double detect baseline signal between documents.     

2D                   Diverter Error - The diverter has failed to reject a document.  In a purge, documents may have been sent to the exit.

2E                    Exit Quantified - The count at the exit disagrees with the other sensors. The exit count has been calculated.        

2F                    Note Missing at Double Detect - The double detect has failed to detect a document which has already been seen by the feed sensor.    

30                    Reject Rate Exceeded - More than eight reject events have occurred during the current operation, or the overall reject rate exceeds ten percent.

31                    Jam at Exit - Exit sensor blocked or faulty.

A document has been pulled into the exit during reverse running and cannot be driven out again

32                    Interference Recovery - The operation of the microprocessor was interrupted, but a successful recovery was achieved. 

33                    Suspect Exit Accountancy - The dispenser cannot guarantee the exit count.  Error recovery routines have been invoked to finish the operation.  During a test dispense this implies that the exit sensor is not functioning.

34                    RAM Error - The dispenser has sensed an error in its working memory.

35                    EPROM Error - The dispenser has sensed an error in its program memory.

36                    Operation Time-out - A transaction has exceeded its time-out period and has been terminated. 

37                    RAM Corruption - The internal counters are corrupted.  The operation is terminated.  The exit count cannot be guaranteed.      

38                    Link Error - The option selection links have changed.

FF                    No Communication with Dispenser - The system is not able to communicate with the dispenser mechanism
